Mahale Mountains National Park
Mountains covered in semi-tropical forest full of chimps and colobus, rolling down to pure white sandy beaches and a vast lake with crystal clear aquamarine waters full of colourful cichlids. Hiking in the morning searching for chimps, coming down to camp for a splendid lunch by the lake. A swim after lunch and a read in a hammock in the shade of a palm tree, a quick stretch out in the sun on the sand. A spot of afternoon Tiffin, then out on the lake in the Dhow, sweeping through clear tropical waters. Diving in with snorkel, watching the dazzling colours of the lake change colour as the sun slips behind the mountains of the Congo in the East.
